Chapter 30: Intention

After all, she would be busier but she wanted to try dating on the gs that it would be difficult if she didn\'t have a partner.

Isn\'t it theoretically easier to live alone wh one is very busy?

If Isabel had other inttions, perhaps it was with the aim of having a man pay for her life so that she could study without thinking about living expses, but that was obviously unlikely since David knew that her family had a good economy.

Her father was said to be a high-ranking official in a ministry, earning up to t times what the average worker could earn.

She couldn\'t possibly want a boyfrid so that someone would pay for her living expses, it could only be because she wanted a frid to keep her company in her free time or before going to bed.

"I\'m sure you can easily find one guy. After all, people at university td to be bolder wh it comes to talking about their desires," David said in response, laughing lightly.

"It won\'t be easy to find a suitable one," Isabel replied, refuting David\'s opinion.

Wom like her were naturally of a certain standard, but David could not guess her standard.

"Surely you\'re looking for a man who\'s as smart as you are, right?" said David, continuing to speak in order to keep this interaction going.

Isabel shook her head as she replied, "It doesn\'t have to be smart in studies as long as it\'s smart in thinking."

"But there must be many other standards, right?"

Asked persisttly, Isabel suddly stopped answering. Her eyes showed a doubtful look to David.

"Why do you keep asking?" she asked.

"Maybe because there\'s an opportunity," David replied calmly, unperturbed by the change in Isabel\'s reaction.

"You know, you\'re the most popular girl in high school, all the guys are curious about you. I just happed to get the chance to talk to you more here."

Everything he said was his honest view. He could say that without looking awkward at all.

Isabel had obviously noticed a drastic change in him.

This time she responded more slowly.

"Considering you already have a girlfrid, and it\'s a woman from a very rich family, I don\'t think you should be curious about other wom anymore," she said, bringing up the topic that David already had a girlfrid.

This was a little surprising, was she giving David a signal not to have strange expectations of her?

However, would she have giv him hope if only he didn\'t have a girlfrid?

Jane or Erza are not ordinary wom, so they have differt ways of thinking.

This cannot be said about Isabel.

The latter must have the mind of a typical European citiz, who rejects polygamy and the like.

Some wom may agree to be a man\'s mistress, but that\'s not something that can be called a relationship.

Here was the problem, ev if David wanted Isabel, he felt there was no easy way to successfully get her to accept him as long as she knew that he was dating Jane.

Funnily ough, David smiled faintly at the woman ev though she didn\'t say anything in response to his words.

He smiled because he was joying this interaction more and more.

"Isabel, what do you think of me?" asked David after a few momts of silce.

He was getting bolder in showing his interest in her.

Isabel didn\'t answer right away, she looked into his eyes first.

"Is it you now or you in high school?" she asked in response.

"I don\'t think you have an opinion about me in high school," David replied.

If there was an opinion about him wh he was in high school, it was probably that he was a loner, but David didn\'t think it was an opinion worth talking about.

Did Isabel have any particular opinion?

This would be very surprising.

To her surprise, Isabel suddly shook her head.

"It\'s better not to talk about this, I don\'t like saying my opinion about others," she said.

She appartly preferred to quit.

Until now, her mind is still unpredictable.

Surprisingly, she suddly asked after that. "Do you feel inadequate wh you already have such a beautiful girlfrid?"

That question made David conclude that Isabel understood his inttions.

Th was she trying to insinuate him?

David didn\'t lose his cool over that.

He replied, "Our relationship is quite unique, and there is a reason why I feel inadequate, something that Jane herself designed."

"What do you mean?" Isabel clearly didn\'t understand what David was saying.

She probably only understood vaguely, and that was ough to make her curious.

"It\'s not something I can explain," David replied.

"Why do you think a guy like me can date Jane?"

David gave Isabel a question that was sure to confuse her greatly.

The answer was simply that he was lucky, but from Isabel\'s point of view, it was probably because of something hard to explain.

She was curious now, that\'s what David saw in her eyes.

After that, David looked at his watch.

"Umm, talking makes time seem short," he said.

Seeing his actions, Isabel spontaneously looked at her watch too.

She th stared at the elevator doors, seemingly wondering if Audrey would be coming soon.

Fortunately, Audrey came sooner than she said she would.

Just momts after Isabel stared at the elevator doors, the doors finally oped, revealing the figure of Audrey who was still wearing the clothes from earlier that day.

This time she was alone, Ella didn\'t follow her anymore.

Wh she saw David and Isabel, standing opposite each other, Audrey was a little surprised, ev showing a strange look.

She walked towards them but didn\'t appear to be trying to make any particular commt.

Arriving at the door, she took out her key, oped the door to her apartmt and said to Isabel, "sorry to keep you waiting so long, please come in!"

Isabel nodded to Audrey, saying nothing as she followed her into the apartmt. Unlike wh talking to David who was the same age as her, talking to Audrey was a little difficult for her because Audrey was a lecturer and much older than her.

David waited until both of them tered before tering as well.
