Chapter 1035: Left Side

In fact, the reason behind Kyran\'s ability to differentiate Dimensions was his innate ability that allowed him to grasp the principles behind any theories without prior testing.

In any case, Aki and Cyneah did not realize just how dangerous Kyran\'s words were and thus appeared as if what he said was nothing but everyday talk.

Shaiha had a different take on it, but she ultimately dismissed it as unimportant because she had long resigned herself to Kyran\'s absurd capabilities.

Loud explosions and unrelenting tremors could be heard and felt from a distance.

Sensing these, Aki looked toward the side where Ladon and Thorn went and could not help but say, "Looks like things are getting more heated up over there. Are we truly not going to reinforce them?"

Kyran raised his brows. Since he programmed his puppets to be able to think for themselves unless he gave an absolute order, he could not help but wonder if Aki had grown to like Ladon and Thorn to be worried about them.

Then again, rather than worrying for them, Kyran had a strange feeling that Aki\'s real intention for wanting to reinforce them was to watch them and learn.

Thinking about this, Kyran remembered Aki had only been relying on the little combat data he included in his system. If Aki could not observe others fighting, he could not improve his combat capabilities.

"You say that, but I think you\'re only interested in observing them fight the treasure\'s effect," Cyneah could not help but tease Aki as if she could read his thoughts.

"Y-Young mistress, please don\'t tease me in front of master... I suddenly feel ashamed of my impure thoughts."

"Aki," Kyran started. "If you only needed to observe others in combat, it is better to join Auto-one and the rest. Because the data you\'d get from observing Ladon and Thorn will not be much of use since they will be using dragon techniques and Draconic-based magic attacks. At the moment, your borrowed body has dragon features, but your energy core is still the same I created.

It can\'t absorb Draconic magic energy, and the things you learn from them will become useless. Watching Auto-one fight can be more helpful in your case."

"I-I understand..." Aki already knew this. Nevertheless, he wanted to observe dragons fight so he could update the combat patterns he could perform with the limited data he had in his program. Read captivating tales at m v l e mpyr

Kyran sighed. He did not know if it was because Aki was currently using a body created by the Ancients, but his emotions were prominently reflected on his face. Kyran suddenly had the urge to dismantle Aki\'s borrowed body so he could study it and see its materials and how they were put together.

In the end, Kyran pushed aside his thoughts and addressed Aki seriously, "Don\'t be impatient. I\'ll definitely upgrade your programming. I may not look it, but I\'ve been observing and learning a lot about the Ancients\' automata since we came into contact with them. I only need to confirm the materials I\'d need to give you and the others better bodies and improve your energy cores."

Aki\'s expression brightened as he looked at Kyran before lowering his head in respect, "Thank you very much, master!"

"When you said the others, this includes Len and Neo?" Cyneah asked.

"Yes. Neo\'s body has been upgraded before, and his energy core can circulate Void magic energy to some extent, but I want to have all of them share the same quality and capabilities."

"I can understand why you want to improve them. They are practically the first automata you\'ve created, after all."

"I can\'t say they were automata when I first created them," Kyran replied with a bitter smile. "They were still puppets back then. But you\'re right; since they are my first creations, I want to continue enhancing them."

Cyneah smiled as she sensed Aki\'s gratefulness. She actually shared Kyran\'s attitude toward puppets, automatons, and spirits. Thus, she was happy that he treated his creations very well.

What Kyran did not say was that he had planned to enhance his puppets even before coming to the Higher Realm. When he got his hands on about a thousand automatons in Somuli, he planned to study their structure and design a new automata that could best fit his earlier creations.

Unfortunately, things happened, and Kyran was forced to leave Somuli without taking any of the automatons he acquired. He initially had a few slumbering inside his Void World, but to ensure they had enough manpower to deal with the aftermath of their conquest, he had woken them up and let them help his Servants and Sigils.

In the end, the ones left in his Void World were the puppets that had yet to awaken sentience.

"Auto-one and the others seemed to be having trouble handling the left side," Kyran said aloud. He was observing the magic fluctuations on both sides as they walked and found that the number of automatons on the left side had increased drastically.

"Yes. You\'re right, master," Aki agreed, also focusing his attention on the left side. He noticed the increased number of automatons that have likely surrounded Auto-one and the others. "We should devise a plan on how we can provide better reinforcement."

"True," Kyran agreed to Aki\'s suggestion. "If we barged in just like that, we might get swallowed up by their sheer number along with the others."

As they drew near the intersection, Cyneah could finally see what the two of them were talking about. Using her eyes, she found several overlapping lights in a large room where Auto-one and the others were.

"I don\'t think the automatons plan on fighting Auto-one and the others in one fell swoop," Cyneah remarked after seeing that most of the automatons that dared get close to Auto-one and the others were only a few lines from the front.

"Auto-one specializes in large areas of effect magic attacks," Kyran started. "The other automatons likely knew this; that was why they did not want to get too close recklessly."

"I suppose you learn your lightning attacks from him?" Cyneah guessed.

"A little," Kyran replied with an amused smile. "I only tried to imitate it, but as you can see, my lightning isn\'t really producing the same effect as a real one should."

"No. But it is far more fearsome," she replied with a bitter smile, recalling how Diara sounded when she pleaded not to be subjected to Kyran\'s electrocution. "I\'m guessing you don\'t want to use that attack on the automatons up ahead."

As she said this, they already reached the intersection and immediately went to the left side.

"If possible," Kyran admitted. "I want them intact."

For obvious reasons.

Kyran did not say that aloud, though.

[If you can get the tower\'s approval, you don\'t have to do anything else. They will treat and serve you like they would a king. If you ordered the automatons to lower their weapons and join you, they would likely comply in a heartbeat. They might not even protest if you want to dissect them.]

Kyran did not reply to Shaiha. Not because he thought she was lying or spouting nonsense again. He only did not think it was necessary to talk to her.

"It will be impossible not to hurt them, though, master. If we insist on it, the others will also suffer."

"I know," Kyran replied with a helpless sigh. "Which is why I\'ll allow hurting them. Just make sure to keep their energy cores, memory, and programming intact."

"Yes, master."

"As to how we\'re going to provide reinforcements... this is what we\'re going to do..."

The path to the left area was not long. Kyran, Aki, and Cyneah reached their destination in four to five minutes. That did not seem to be that long, but it was enough for Kyran to tell Aki and Cyneah his plan.

"I\'ll create an array on you," Kyran told Aki. "Go to the frontlines. Observe and learn as much as you can."

"Yes, master."

"Neah, you\'ll stay with me."

Cyneah wore an unsatisfied look, but in the end, she could only nod, "I understand."

"Don\'t feel bad. I will need your help in determining who calls the shot among those automatons."

"Okay."

"Both of us will stay at the back and provide cover for Auto-one and the rest if necessary."

"Having one reinforcement join their ranks will not really pose much threat to the enemy automatons, so they will not suddenly swarm all over us," Aki said, understanding Kyran\'s intention of not showing up in battle.

"Hm," Kyran nodded. He looked up ahead where the battle between Auto-one\'s group and the swarm of automatons was underway. "Let\'s go."

The moment Kyran gave his signal, Aki\'s eyes glowed, and he rushed toward the frontline.

Auto-one, Diara, and the rest of the Ancients had already expected Aki\'s arrival because Kyran sent a telepathic message to Auto-one explaining his plan.

Auto-one then relayed it to Diara and the others.
