Chapter 249: A True-Blooded Extrovert Appears!

First of all, not everyone was crazy enough to take a quest one rank higher than what corresponds to their adventurer rank.

Second, very few would be able to actually complete it, hence, they\'re having a tough time accepting that this rumored "vicious-mouthed and arrogant" rookie was one of those talented, chosen individuals.

Due to utter disbelief, one guildsman who hated Shye\'s guts stomped towards the rewards desk.

"Miss Shauna, did that rookie truly complete his quest?" asked the guildsman with furrowed brows.

Shauna was a smart woman so she immediately discerned that this specific guildsman thought the two of them were in cahoots, making it seem like the rookie completed the quest when he in fact, didn\'t.

In short, he suspected that the earlier interactions were nothing but a clown show.

Unfortunately for him, Shauna, although good at hiding her actual emotions, was not one to take bullshit silently, hence, she directly took out the sack bag that Shye turned in, opening it wide to allow everyone curious to see that there were actual Ripper Koala claws inside.

"Yes, Sir Dorck, here\'s the proof. Sir Crowley did indeed complete this specific quest one rank higher than his adventurer rank. Alone." replied Shauna with a fake innocent smile.

Faced with undeniable proof, the hater guildsman, Dorcke, had nothing else to say as it would be embarrassing for him to accuse the rookie of cheating when he had no actual evidence.

Vowing to expose the arrogant newcomer, Dorck returned to his seat in the lobby and resumed eating, his mind churning as he formulated various plots and schemes to show everyone the rookie\'s true color.

He doesn\'t buy that the rookie was as ridiculously talented as he appeared to be.

Not one bit.

Fortunately, idiots like him weren\'t that many in Raven\'s Blade as the veterans, instead of plotting how to humiliate the rookie, opted to gather with their closest companions, discussing whether or not to extend an invitation to the rookie to embark on a few quests with them.

In the end, they were guildmates and it would only be more beneficial to help than antagonize one another.

As for the notorious rookie that everyone was talking about, he was already inside a seafood restaurant, feasting on lobsters, oysters, crabs, and scallops, dipping them in specialized sour, spicy, and savory sauce before slowly putting them in his mouth, enjoying everything with an expression of pure bliss.

\'Sacrificing a proper lunch for this was absolutely worth it!\' he thought, grabbing yet another lobster tail.

If he had been born in Old Man Sanada\'s original world, he would\'ve earned money for making a few recordings of him eating such delectable food.

After eating a sumptuous meal, Shye billed out, leaving a few silver coins as a tip for the waiter.

He then looked for a somewhat luxurious inn, rented a premium room, and slept like a log for the night, indulging in the sweet confines of a soft bed, a cold room, and a warm, thick comforter.

Inevitably, he overslept, however, he didn\'t mind.

Accepting a quest when there are few people around was less beneficial to him anyway.

Staring at the opulent ceiling, Shye\'s thoughts wandered.

\'700 guild contribution points in one quest huh? Ranking up to platinum is faster than I thought…Maybe ruby isn\'t so distant after all?\' he mused.

A few more thoughts entered and exited his mind before another crazy idea popped up.

\'Hoh? Since this mandatory quest seemed to be a warm-up, I have time to try this idea out!\' Shye thought, excitement written all over his face.

If he manages to pull this new bullshit of his off, then he might earn another huge shitload of points depending on the timing of his revelation.

Eager to try his idea, Shye quickly hopped out of his bed and rushed to the bathroom, where he took a brisk bath and changed into clean clothes before leaving the inn.

He then walked towards the guild with a fake stoic countenance.

Deep inside, he\'s as excited as a child.

Arriving in front of the branch headquarters around fifteen minutes later, heads once again turned as the notorious rookie ambled towards the door, loudly pushed it open, and proceeded towards the quest board.

Although almost everyone now recognized him, he didn\'t expect that someone would recognize him in a completely different way.

"Ahh! The badly-poisoned young adventurer!" a short young woman with short grape-colored hair, an attractive face, and a curvaceous body with both an ample bosom and bottom, exclaimed. "How the heck are you still alive? I thought you perished in that hospital!"

Naturally, her loud voice attracted Shye\'s attention, prompting him to turn his head in her direction.

Unfortunately, Shye didn\'t recognize her face, hence, he simply stared at her blankly.

"Hmm? Seira, do you know each other?" a guildsman sitting at the same table as Seira, asked.

However, his question was ignored as Seira promptly stood up from her seat and walked towards Shye.

"Do I know you?" Shye asked, following Seira\'s movement with his gaze.

"Oh, I\'m sorry, probably not," Seira responded. "However, I do know you as I was near the city\'s entrance when you suddenly entered, in the worst condition I have ever witnessed in my entire life!"

Realizing that this girl was probably someone who babbled endlessly, Shye decided to end the conversation right then and there.

He wasn\'t against making new friends in the guild, however, his recent experiences made it hard for him to trust others.

Hence, he opted to temporarily do everything solo.

At least until he accomplishes the darned mandatory quest that popped out of nowhere.

"Oh, I see…" Shye coldly replied, refocusing on the quests posted on the board in front of him.

Unfortunately for him, he underestimated the energy and persistence of true-blooded extroverts.
