\'Crap…this one\'s trouble!\' Shye inwardly cursed, realizing that this Goblin High Shaman must be the true leader of the settlement; likely also the one who devised the clever goblin scout trap.
However, this didn\'t mean that he could simply ignore the darned Goblin Chieftain.
[Name]: Goblin Chieftain
[Creature Rank]: B-
[Description]
A common goblin, born with an exceptional drive for conquest, clawed its way to the top by eliminating rivals and consuming various species, including humans. This granted it the power to lead an entire goblin settlement through sheer intimidation and dominance.

\'F*ck…aren\'t we screwed here?\' Shye inwardly thought as he gnashed his teeth in frustration.
If only he used the darned appraisal skill, none of this would have occurred, and the two of them could have devised a strategy to systematically dismantle the goblins one by one.
Unfortunately, there was no medicine for regret and if they wanted to survive, they had to focus and fight both wisely and ferociously, otherwise, these goblins would surely overwhelm them.
It was an absolutely bloody tall task—an uphill battle.
The lower-ranked goblins let out sinister cackles as they steadily accelerated their pace, eventually sprinting full speed towards them after just two more seconds.
On the other hand, the goblin elites took their time, donning crafty smiles as they strategically circled Shye and Seira.
\'We can\'t let these little shits mob us!\'
"Seira! Fall back temporarily, I\'ll wipe the floor with the low-ranked ones!"
Promptly after hearing Shye\'s instructions, Seira swiftly retreated, allowing Shye to cast his spells without any worry.
\'Fire Bomb Assault!\'
\'Frozen Thorn Barrage!\'
Hot and cold winds converged in front of their respective elemental staffs, swiftly materializing into exploding balls of flame and lethally sharp glacial thorns shortly after before hurtling towards the goblins.
As winds violently parted and heated up, the sinister smiles on the goblins\' faces were replaced by utter panic—their initial confidence—gone as they chaotically scrambled to escape from the lethal projectiles thrown their way.
Unfortunately, they were nothing but pawns—too weak to even protect their little lives.
In a battle where only elites could participate, they were present for a sole reason: to serve as mere distractions.
*BOOM!* *SPURT* *BOOM!* *SPURT*
Horrifying explosions occurred one after the other, wreaking havoc and ruthlessly reaping the lives of fifty low-ranked goblins along with five elites, significantly whittling their numbers.
Ice shards were crushed, scattering everywhere, while black smoke billowed into the sky from the areas of the explosions, prompting the low-ranked goblins to gaze at the two humans warily, realizing they had no place participating in a battle of this magnitude.
As a result, the goblins\' flawless group hunting tactics started to have a few cracks as the lower-ranked goblins hesitated.
No matter how stupid they were, it was simply too easy to see that they would have no chance of even making it close to the humans; hence, the hesitation.
Naturally, witnessing the cowardice of its underlings, the goblin chief was infuriated.
*GRAAAAAHRR!*
A high-pitched roar reverberated across the clearing, causing the nearby avifauna to flee and dispelling the fear in the hearts of the low-ranked goblins.
However, the fear was swiftly replaced with a new one: the dread of the chieftain personally executing them.
What made them respect the chieftain was its reasonability.
Although it was telling them to go and stare at death in the eyes, it made a few arrangements to ensure that they, the lower-ranked goblins, could make a change.
This time, the goblin elites stood in front of the formation, trying their best to deflect all the projectiles Shye threw at their small army.
Regrettably, as formidable as the elites might appear, Shye\'s spells proved stronger.
Thus, whenever an elite encountered a skill they couldn\'t manage, they quickly chose to dodge, inadvertently exposing the weaker ones to the lethal force of the spell.
Due to this, the goblins\' numbers quickly dwindled.
However, they were closing in and Shye knew that it would be impossible to defend himself as a mage, hence, he decisively switched weapons.
Storing both elemental staffs back to the system\'s inventory, two menacing greatswords appeared in his hands.
A thin water stream enveloped one of the swords, while a purple lightning snake coiled around the other, looking extremely fearsome as the synergizing elements of water and thunder ferociously roared at the charging goblins.
A few more moments later, both sides finally clashed.
*CLANG!*
With a single horizontal swing of her greatsword, Seira sent a goblin elite flying.
However, her blow was cleanly blocked, so there wasn\'t really much damage done to the other side.
As for Shye, he fared much better due to his overwhelmingly strong attributes, drastically enhanced by the two greatswords in his hands.
A single diagonal slash of his immediately ripped a goblin elite apart in half along with the sword in its hands.
Goblins then leaped at him one after the other, prompting him to continuously swing his arms violently, fiercely fighting for his life.
The repulsive smell of a goblin\'s blood permeated the air, growing stronger the more goblins they slew.
This, in turn, decreased Shye and Seira\'s ability to focus.
Shye valiantly endured, suffering a few shallow hits from the goblin elites as he courageously fought in the middle of a fierce goblin onslaught.
Employing various skills to slay goblins one after the other.
Finally grasping a short chance to catch his breath, Shye glanced at Seira.
His eyes then widened shortly after.
"SEIRA!!"
